The department presents a right blend of traditional and modern education to the students by not only limiting itself to imparting of technical knowledge through a structured curriculum but also by bringing in the much sought after training concepts such as CRT, FINISHING SCHOOL, Aptitude and Vocabulary to the students for enhancing their employability skills.

It is good to observe that there is a drastic improvement in areas of industrial visits, internships, student peer learning activities, value added courses and workshops. I am confident that the department along with the college grows further and scales to new heights in translating the dreams of students into reality by transforming them into technically competent engineering graduates and responsible citizens of India

The field of electronics and communication engineering has major contributions to the society which we are enjoying and witnessing today. The people across the world are able to connect in no time because of fast growth in this field. This importance makes the Electronics and Communication Engineering branch to stay ever green on top of all other Engineering branches as well. This course of engineering covers the major fields of electronics like Digital Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, VLSI Technology Design, Microprocessor and Micro controllers, Microwave Engineering, RADARs, Digital Communication, Satellite Communication, and Mobile Communication apart from basic subjects.

My sincere thanks to the Management, Principal, all my faculty members and all my students for supporting me at every point to keep the department in high esteem

Message:

A warm welcome to Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Electronics and communication is almost dynamically changing and ever evolving branch since last more than 100 years. Electronics in the foundation on which Information Technology and Computer Engineering has grown. All high speed networks and computers work on the hardware designed by electronics engineers. The department offering the courses in emerging areas like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber security and activity based courses like design thinking in addition to core courses would help the students in acquiring better placements.

In this highly competitive environment and fast changing technology, it is quite crucial to offer outstanding academic excellence along with employability skills, and we at department of ECE, achieving the same by giving foremost importance to Teaching and Learning process through a well-defined system of an academic components and procedures. I am confident that the staff members and students would satisfy the responsibility and credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective domains

Electronics and Communication Engineering, majorly focussing on Telecommunications, Energy and Electronics Sectors deals with the study of designing, analysis, and application of Electronics Circuits and Communications Circuits. Different areas that are being addressed by an ECE professional are Micro and Nano Electronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics and Industrial Automation, Smart Cities/ Homes (Internet of Things), VLSI Design and Testing, Consumer Electronics Product Manufacturing, Communication Systems Design and Maintenance. With a such wide range of opportunities, this branch of engineering offers a privilege of drifting between hardware and software fields of Technology. Enunciating that “Learning is a Lifelong process”, I wish every success for the budding engineers in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Dr. B. L. Praksh has completed his Ph.D. from Andhra University. He has more than 32 years of teaching experience.

Message:

I am very glad that the department of ECE has come out with a unique idea of developing its own website which contains lot of information pertaining to the department. The department is equipped with latest software and hardware tools which caters all the needs of the students that can be evidenced by the campus placements. A good number of students get either quality placements or admitted into Masters in various reputed Institutes every year which is possible only by imparting Concept-oriented teaching and CRT training by eminent and experienced faculty.

The endeavors of the department resulted in establishing two centres of Excellence viz. VLSI and IOT wherein lot many students given training which will help them in getting placements in the core sectors also. The department releases Techno Chronicle wherein both students and staff present Technical and general articles. I wish and hope the department will become a role model for all other departments. I thank the management for supporting the department in organizing numerous activities successfully.

Message:

The Department of ECE comprises competent faculty members with rich teaching and industrial experience in broad categories. The leadership team is closely knit and grooms the students to step into a bright career spanning across Hardware and Software Engineering. In addition to teaching the students with all needed fundamental aspects of ECE, the academic structure facilitates them to choose professional electives towards focused streams viz. VLSI Design, Communication Engineering, Embedded Systems. There is a right blend of courses to augment the programming skills of the students.

In addition to focus on regular academic studies, co-curricular and extra curricular activities are also emphasised to mould the students with a right combination of technical and soft skills. We have vibrant Student Branches (SB) in IEEE, IETE and ISTE, hosting a gamut of technical events round the year. Under IEEE, we also have focused SB Societies of Circuits and Systems (CAS) and Signal Processing. The department has a credible culture of encouraging innovation. It conducts Technical Exposition (TechExpo) with student participation from across reputed institutes. Technical experts are invited as part of the evaluation committee and innovative student projects are suitably awarded.
